President's Objectives
President David's Objectives for 2009-2010
Support Rotary Foundation, particularly the eradication of Polio.
Build and retain membership by bringing in new members with enthusiasm, new skills, and diverse talents.
Promote the recognition, public image and values of Rotary to others in the community.
Provide opportunity for the “New Generations” in health, education, human values and self development by actively involving youth in Rotary projects and programmes locally and internationally.
Encourage individual members to take on leadership roles, so that longer term goals can be developed for the Club, and its service to Rotary and the wider community.
Support Red Cross through volunteering in the varied services they provide.

The Object of Rotary
The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:-

First The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

Second High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

Third The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business and community life;

Fourth The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
