Margaret from the Sea Cadets gave an interesting talk last Tuesday. I invited her to put a proposal to the club for our consideration in keeping with our focus on the youth of the town. Talking of youth, we will have 3 exchange students as guests of the club on the 4th October namely Marjorie (France) Leona (Germany) and Nicole (Switzerland). Please make them welcome on the night. It was good that we could assist the RSL in their fundraising day at the Penfolds “Open garden” and it was good to note that the weekend raised some $6,000.00. We look forward to a report on the Navigators College mock interview scheme. Thank you Hamish as coordinator and the other volunteers. Please note committee meetings will follow the meeting on 4th October, 2011. The Melbourne Cup Trifecta Tickets will be distributed at the next meeting. I urge all members to sell their quota of 25-50 tickets @ $2.00 each. Those who volunteered for the Mental Health Day BBQ 9/10/11 will hear direct from Colin West prior to the day. It was nice to see the holiday makers return to the fold and make up the numbers. Please note on the 16th October, there will be a Working Bee Full Club Roster and BBQ to follow at Puckridge Park, so keep that day clear. The ladies are invited and an attendance sheet for catering purposes will go around at the next meeting. Don’t forget the ladies functions posted in the Bulletin and sent out to each member. Please confirm with Marg your attendance for catering purposes.

Airport Vending Machine Roster

To avoid congestion at the airport, the most practical times for filling are between the hours of 10.30am to 1.30pm Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 12 noon Sat, Sun, or after 8.30 any night. Please arrange your own change with others if these dates are not convenient for you and inform the Vending Machine Chairperson (John Myers) so that the master roster can be updated. Thank you.
