Jenk's Jottings |
Once again a very interesting and detailed presentation by Peter Kearsley. Well done also to the programmes men Weetbix and Hamish.
Nice to see a few visitors as well as the numbers are a present somewhat down.
We have the Probus Rally coming up and thank you for the volunteers in Jim Kay to set up the tents at Ravendale on the Sunday afternoon 11th September 2011 and Ron Carey who will bring them down on Monday 4.00pm on the 12th September 2011.
I have emailed them with the contact details and I urge members, 3 on each roster, to give them a hand on the respective days.
I am waiting to hear back on the Mental Health Expo on the 9th October 2011. BBQ trailer is required and Colin West has kindly offered to coordinate that particular event.
The RSL Club have requested our BBQ trailer on the 24th-25th September at an Open Garden Day to be held at Geoff and Liz Penfolds home. We have committed to assist them and I would really appreciate someone standing up and volunteering to coordinate that particular roster.
Committee meetings will be held on 6th September.
I am looking forward to receiving feedback on the possible merger of our Port Lincoln Times Rotary Sportsperson of the year award. Should we continue alone or amalgamate with Council and other sponsors?
See you all on Tuesday.
Noel

Rod Patterson, Adrian Glover and our exchange student Marjorie Jessin went on the Calypso Star for a shark cage dive last Wednesday. Four great white sharks were seen and all spent time in the cage for a close up look. It is rumoured that both Rod and Adrian were guilty of adding more berley to the water during their time in the cage.
