Dear All,

Some of you would be aware that I had a bowel tumour removed in May 2007 and had consequent chemotherapy for 6 months.

I was lucky as my tumour was picked up before I ever suffered any symptoms.

I have since become an ambassador for Cancer Council SA. I urge you to read the following and act, I did at the urging of my mother who had bowel cancer (and passed away in November 2007 when I was in the midst of the treatment) and it saved my life.

If you are over 50, please watch this short video – it could help save your life.

No matter what age you are, please share this video with five people over 50 that you love.

Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer, yet we know that 90% of cases could be cured if they are just diagnosed early.

The key is to ensure people aged 50 and over are tested every two years, before experiencing symptoms.

The test is simple to do and you can do it in the comfort and privacy of your own home.

We hope this short video will help families, friends and work colleagues to talk openly about the importance of testing for bowel cancer

Subsidised test kits are available through Cancer Council Helpline 13 11 20 or order online at www.cancersa.org.au (cost $25 or $15 for pensioners, including pathology and postage).

Please help spread this message by sharing this video with five people over 50 that you love.

If you are over 50, please take this test every two years.

Don’t put it off, it could save your life.

Airport Vending Machine Roster

• Rostered periods are now fortnightly. This allows for a minimum of 5 trips per fortnight, rather than 3 per week.
• Two people are rostered each period to provide both flexibility and assistance if required.

Fill in Spares -  Colin West. Terry Doyle.  

To avoid congestion at the airport, the most practical times for filling are between the hours of 10.30am to 1.30pm Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 12 noon Sat, Sun, or after 8.30 any night.   

Please arrange a change if these dates are not convenient for you and let me know so that the roster can be updated.
