HAVE FUN IN ROTARY   HELP A MATE

  Col's Carry-on

I’m told that the Bowls night was a lot of fun, even if we

didn’t bring home the Jack May Trophy. Thanks to

Murray Lubcke and his helpers for an enjoyable evening.

I’d also like to thank Mike Munro, Ian Newland, and

David Johnston who assisted with a Sausage Sizzle at

Mallee Park for ‘Closing the Gap’ day event. Didn’t realise we would be competing with the Indigenous Bush Tucker Man !

Thanks to the Iyforians for inviting Dianne and myself to the welcome dinner for I.C. Terry and wife Meryl. A great night and I’m sure Pat and team gave the I.C. a memorable time.

Tonight we have Committee Meetings after hearing from new member Kay Ajao, who must surely have an interesting story to tell.

Tonight you will be asked to give final attendance numbers for next weeks Pride of Workmanship Night. If not attending tonight please   notify your intention for next week ASAP. Try not to miss next week as it is lining up to be another great night; and also a opportunity to showcase Rotary. A small team of helpers will be required on the afternoon to set up. Team arranged tonight.

Colin   Have fun in Rotary.

We had a great night, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, BUT the bowls club beat us pretty convincingly 16:8 ! Peter Myers team with Kuno, Murray and Dave Gillies had a good close game going down by just 2. Pinno was taking a few pics out on the rinks, so he may have some good candid shots (these photos will go in the gallery when Pinno sends them to Dave Gillies). Murray did a great job organising the event along with Bob Richardson from the PLBC. I think Bob will make sure there will be more participants from their club next time.

Remember that many of our fellow members are involved in other community organisations and by talking with them there may be an opportunity to assist them at some time.
