HAVE FUN IN ROTARY   HELP A MATE

  Col's Carry-on

To some it may have seemed that not much work was

achieved last week, but let me assure you that your

efforts were worthwhile. Areas around the gazebos were

tidied, trees lopped and removed, whipper snipping done

and a number of other jobs including clearing the block

at the Rotary shed.

David Forbes has all in hand for the Pride of Workmanship Night. It looks to being another great night. We ask that you confirm firm numbers by 5th April meeting, or advise Chris in the normal manner.

The ‘Deckchairs on the Deck’ night proved to be a great fundraiser for Riding for the Disabled. Our two sponsored chairs brought in over $1500

between them. I’m sure that those Rotarians present had an enjoyable evening.

The Bowls Night tonight should be fun, with an opportunity to mix with another organisation. Hopefully we’ll bring home the Jack May Trophy.

This week the IYForians will be hosting a visit from their International Commodore Terry Stretton. Welcome Meryl and Terry, enjoy your stay with us.

Colin

Have fun in Rotary.

Email to Ian Phillips 16/3/11 from past RYE student Hiroko of Japan.

‘Thank you so much for your email. We are all safe and fit. The damage of our house is only little bit, however Yoshi’s office and Linna’s school are very bad and they have to stay at home all this week. We have water and foods to survive for a while, so please do not worry too much! Give my best regards to everyone I know in Port Lincoln for me.    Love Hiroko ‘
