HAVE FUN IN ROTARY   HELP A MATE

  Col's Carry-on

I found our two speakers last week, Christine and Tony, gave an interesting insight into the flood crisis situation in Qld and Vic. Seems authorities have got it right for once and have developed a common strategy to use in  control rooms throughout Aust for handling emergencies.  On Monday we were advised of the passing of Jim Wright.  Whilst never a member of our Club I understand that he had assisted us numerous times with our auction. Our thoughts are with Jim’s family.

Thanks to those members who assisted with the roster on the Jetty Saturday. Whilst it didn’t seem too busy, we did provide a service for PLYC, and made some $$$s into the bargain. Don’t forget the MEGA BBQ on wed. Usually flat chat, but fun as well. not to be missed !!

Apologies for lack of dinner rosters on the web site last week. That was my fault — back on track now !!

On the back page there is a proposed itinerary for the visit of RFEs from Saskatchewan. If you could assist by taking control of one day’s activities would you let Greg Patterson or me know.

Crabbing Weekend

March 3rd is getting closer, we need volunteers to bring any crab cooking gear they have and a couple of old sturdy camp tables to work on when cleaning crabs and empty bins eskys etc to store processed crabs, I don't know who has booked but am informed that numbers are impressive.

regards Ron C

PS

We have the OK to erect Hendo's 18 foot square Marquee at the park, so we will have shelter if the weather turns bad.

Youth exchange

Hi all
Because so many hotmail accounts seem to have been hacked and send/receive so much spam, I have closed both my hotmail accounts (josephinehofstra@hotmail.com and josephinestewart@live.com.au).
I will just stick to my gmail account from now on. Just so you know. :)
