HAVE FUN IN ROTARY HELP A MATE |
|
Col's Carry-on |
Well Bill’s certainly an interesting character, and told
his story well. I was aware of the building of the boat -
but I didn’t know that it had started from the casual
reading of a boat magazine. Was great to have Michael
Geeves with us so that we could acknowledge his
reciprocal gift to us. I thought Rod Patterson may have
had a smart quip about the Stirrers Spoon.
Don’t forget to collect from home or mates, any old optical glasses or
mobile phones. The glasses will go to Lions, and phones to Kirton Point School who are collecting them for Cancer Council.
By now some will have met Olivia Lowe our new Exchange student from Denmark who will have the Barfoot family as first hosts.
This week we will be hosting several members from Dragons Abreast who will tell us their story. Please make them welcome. Whilst I have not made the night an official Ladies Night, all are welcome. Please advise numbers.

A bloke bought a new fridge for his house. To get rid of his old one he put it in his front yard with a sign on it saying: “ Free to good home. You want it you take it.”
For three days the fridge sat there without anyone looking twice. He eventually decided that people were too mistrustful of this deal, so he changed the sign to read, “ Fridge for sale - $50.”
The next day some-one stole it !
